Delhi does not have cruising cabs. Ask the hotel where you are staying for some taxi stand phone numbers, there will be many closeby. You can even fix up a time well beforehand with one of these.
Getting a cab anytime is not a problem. Best mode would be an autorickshaw, or the metro (heard its very good, never been) |

Pahar Ganj is Very close to New Delhi railway station and you ca easily find transportation 24 X 7...
and Autorikshaw would be a good option, both to go the Airport and see the city... For getting around in Delhi a combination of Auto-Rickshaw, cycle-rickshaw and Delhi Metro should be used. |

Since you have limited time I would suggest taking one of the bus tours of Delhi. They start in the morning & finish by 6 PM. Delhi is a very big city so point to point auto travel all over the city will be expensive especially that practically no auto driver would go by meter and without much knowledge about the routes and distances you may well be fleeced.

. I think they would turn out at least as expensive if not more than a car. A car from Paharganj should not be more than Rs 220 if you get it thru the hotel, if you order it yourself at a stand it will be Rs 180. How far do you get with an Autorickshaw in Delhi for Rs180?![]() |

Dont get shocked so easily. ![]() Though, if it solely a cost comparison, autos should be cheaper than taxis, wherever you go, in Delhi. |
