Need good hotel near New Delhi railway station

Hi

my family is reaching to delhi at 7:30 PM ( saturday ) and have to catch the kalka mail train from DLI station.

If we couldn't catch the kalka mail, booked train kalka shatapti ( plan B ). That is next day 5:50 AM. So better my family wanted to stay somewhere near to new Delhi railway station. Which is the good place .

Please suggest. Moverover suggest me, how to reach DLI station fastly from Delhi Airport.

Best place to stay hear new delhi station is ginger...

You can book it online through their website.

Hope some other member will clarify on reaching DLI station...BTW, what time is your train to Kalka ?

Train is at 9:40 PM.

You may be okay for catching the train as we were in our hotel (in Karol Bagh) within 2 hours of flying into Delhi. This was on a Saturday afternoon.

Of course your flight may be delayed but the train may be too. Indiarailinfo.com says that it's an average of only 12 minutes late, but if you're lucky this may give you a little more time.

The Shatabti trains listed don't match your times, the ones I saw are either 7:40 or 17:25, but I don't know what date you're travelling.

I stayed at the Ginger and liked it and it's certainly within easy walking distance of New Delhi station.

Just keep your fingers crossed. If your flight is on time, you would be OK. Else, it would be a bit too tight.

Regarding quickest way, pick up a pre-paid taxi coupon even as you are waiting for the luggage to arrive.

So, you can minimize the queue time. No other specific inputs from me.

From airport to Old Delhi (DLI) station will be at least 1 hour. Hire a pre paid taxi or www.megacabs.com www.merucabs.com .

at last i rescheduled my flight to morning

now i am having plenty of time

. I am very happy now to get relaxed travel.
