Moving to Gurgaon

Hi All,

We are moving to Gurgaon early 2009 from Dubai. I have a son studying in 4th grade. I need some info
1. Academic calender for CBSE schools in Gurgaon. Is it from April to March ?
2. Good CBSE schools in gurgaon ?
3. Do CBSE schools there concentrate only on education or they have extra hours dedicated to extra curricular activities ?
4. Will ICSE school consider taking in CBSE student in the mid of the academic year or the start of next academic year ?
5. What will be the fees like ? Will there be an intial deposit ?

You have lots of good school options in Gurgaon.

You should contact a few directly, ie: DPS, Shriram, Heritage, Shikshantar etc. They have no standard rules which can answer your questions, each school decides itself.

Shriram is ICSE...

To answer the questions :
1. Yes, it's April to March
2. No great schools in Gurgaon other than Shriram ostensibly. Otherwise, for CBSE you have DPS and Heritage amongst the better known ones.
3. Depends from school to school. DPS (sector 45 branch) for eg., concentrates heavily on academics with barely any extra curricular activities.
4. Switching from ICSE to CBSE or vice versa is not a big issue. But mid term transfers in any school are...
