Arriving in Delhi 13th November '07 and looking for a mid-range hotel, say US$20-40 per night. And an airport pickup. I've made a few email enquiries but where I receive a response at all it's along the lines of 'Sorry, we're fully booked.' Any leads?

I'd recommend www.dawarvilla.com its around Rs4000 inc all taxes & breakfast a night though, they will do you a deal if you stay longer, like 7 nights for the price of 6. You get the whole top floor to yourself and it looks just like the pictures! You have your own internet access, 2 balconies and its in a great area, quiet residential but within walking distance of the metro.

Hotels in Main Bazaar
Hi Friend,
If you are looking for cheaper option and that too near the center of the city then hotels in Main Bazaar Area are good option with around Rs 300-500 per day. If you want I can give you address also. Recently a german girl stayed at our home and before that she too was living in a hotel in that area for few days after arriving in india. Have a Nice Travel, Aman |

singsub your username reminded me of a hotel I saw the other day in Karol Bagh which was nice - Singh Sahib. It might be more in the OP's price range: http://hotelsinghsahib.com/
It's not far from the Metro but it's a tuk tuk ride to Connaught Place. |

There are so many hotels in Paharganj area that suit your need. Probably hundreds of them. Just pick one from a guide book. Or search the forums here.

Hotel Swati Deluxe and Hotel Good Palace both in Karol Bagh would come into your budget - a much nicer area than Paharganj and close to Metro. Clean, good service places slightly more expensive than YMCA or YWCA International Houses - these are also excellent, and both close to Connaught Place but in quieter locations. All places have websites.
