Mid-Range Hotel in Delhi with A/C
Hi All,
I'm coming to India on my honeymoon in late May and I'm looking for a good mid-range hotel to rest up in for the first few days. At that time of year, I guess A/C will be essential. I'd prefer a nice quiet area of Delhi. If it also has a good restaurant serving tasty Indian food, it would be a bonus! Can't wait to eat some real Indian food again :-) Oh and an airport pickup would be nice too but not essential. Thanks for your time. Bearaman |

I stayed at The Connaught Hotel in Aug 2006 and found it adequate. It has all the mod cons. It is about a 3 1/2 star hotel in my view. Because of shortage of good hotels, prices have gone up sharply over the last year or so. The Connaught prices are much higher now than 2006.
The breakfast was ok but I didn't eat there in the evening. It is in a fairly quite area and is within walking distance of Connaught Square. |

I don't know your midrange, for me on a first trip with a child in the party a $100 hotel room was mid - on this budget I loved the Ahuja Residency in Delhi. Very quiet location on tree-lined streets, in walking distance of Khan Market. Didn't eat in hotel, plenty of places around there.

Thanks for your replies. Yea I should have done some digging myself but instead decided to throw myself at your knowledgeable feet :-)
I'll do some research and maybe come back with a shortlist. Thanks, B. |

Try http://www.hotelswati.com/
Although it's in a crowded area but serves very good Gujarati food. Ronak. |

if you could specify the budget then we might be able to come up with a couple of solid options... mid range is rather "individual' in nature.
