majnu ka tilla hotel question

never travelled before

its my first time in india, i'll be flying into delhi, i was thinking of staying in paharganj but i think it might be too intense for me
ive heard that majnu ka tilla area is nice and quiet but a little way from central delhi. But there is a metro that can take me to CP/ Paharganj?

But ive been advised that i should also stay away from majnu ka tilla as a lone female traveller. Its not safe etc. Does anyone have Opinions/ can advise?

My budget is Rs 300=500, i want a decent room, own bathroom and hopefully a tv for those quiet, lonely nights(there is no way im going out at night)

well, Aruna Nagar in Majnu ka Tilla is a Tibetan Refugee Centre...a very calm place with the most sweetest and innocent people and great ethnic Tibetan food...I wud say Aruna nagar wud b one of the safest place for any lone female traveller...the hotels are pretty nice....the Vidhan Sabha metro station is just 10 mintues walk away and it connects you to CP ,India Gate, Red Fort etc
