The downside to Manju is the location, but it´s lightyears from the melee of Pahar Ganj. A softer spot to land in , lot of reasonably (but not low) priced accom. I like Tibetans, and Tibetan food so this is where I stay.

Is Majnu-ka-tilla on walking distance from old-Delhi? Can you recommend a good and comfortable hotel in this area Vistet (max. 400 rupees for doubles)???

Good decision to stay there - rikshaw about 70 rupees to Old Delhi (at most).
Wongdhen House is good and within your budget. Food is great, they change money and get train tickets for you if required , nice view from the roof. Wish I was there now.
Good luck friend.

Sounds like one of the most relaxing places within Delhi out of the chaos of Paharganj and old-Delhi (but still on reasonable distance).....Thanks I will check-out Wongdhen house. Cheers.........
