Unfai charges are not possible, they have elctronic meters and GPS systems...

The drivers that I have met have always been polite....

May be you came across some rough man....

Yes, My experience is always good with them.
Even Mega-cab has a Counter at International Arrival. Last month I had hired a Prepaid Cab from there and prices are as par to black/yellow cabbies.

I m talking about taking a cab at mid night. I reached around 11:00 PM then i just called them. After 90 to 120 mins one cab finally arrived and then he asked me to pay twice the general fair i.e. he asked me to give 18 INR per km usually it is 7-9 INR per km. Also, they will not drop you to your destination unless they want to go the place. It is not like that you just tell them the place and they will take you there. Once you tell them the place then they will decide whether they want to go or not.

Anyways, you guys have better experiences with them then i can only say that its my hard luck that both the time I came across rough man..

I am confused by your disappointment, EasyCabs ask you to book pickups (not airport pickups, as they usually have cars waiting there) several hours ahead because it does often take that long to get someone to you, and their standard fare is Rs 15 per km, not Rs 7-9 as you claim.

If you think a driver is trying to overcharge, you can speak to their control room who will sort it out for you.

May be you are correct. But it did not happen to me.
That's why now I only travel by Pre-paid taxi.

PrePaid taxis are good for locals and for experienced travelers. If a new comer tries to use them, (S)he is invariably subjected to the scams of your hotel is burnt down, there is curfew in that area... I know a better hotel etc etc.....

Above all else, Radio Taxis are more modern, more stylish and more professional...

I wholeheartedly recommend Mega, Metro, Meru, Easy & Quick cabs...........
