Looking for an upscale restaurant in south Delhi
Would like to take my wife to a nice restaurant for anniversary while in Delhi.
Does anyone have an opinion on Park Baluchi or can suggest another? |

For an intimate dinner go to Diva in GK-II for great Italian food and choose a vintage for the occasion from the excellent cellar.

I second Jyoti's choice. Diva in GK2 is fantastic, good food and very nice ambience.

I've heard bukhara has only so-so food, but I've never been. I've been to Diva, though, and while I agree the ambiance is nice, the food was a miss. Maybe it was an off night? Maybe I shouldn't have ordered the artichoke dish? Regardless, I usually like the food at the Smokehouse Grill in GK-II. Just stay away from the soups.

you could try the orient express at the Taj Palace? Suppose to be one of the top 10 restaurants in the world? or something like that (just make sure you take a small bank vault with you to pay for the meal).

i like Diva and like Bhukara as well, the latter appears to be more lively, so if ur looking for slightly quiet then maybe Diva.
Having said that , i went a few days back to the coffee shop at the Hyatt after a while. As good as ever, and their buffet was pretty extensive as well... maybe u could chek that out... Then there is the yellow brick road at the ambassador..

After trying to find Olive on foot one recent hot afternoon (when will I learn Delhi isn't walkable most of the time?), I found out that this restaurant closed. However, it has just reopened elsewhere. Thanks to Time Out, I know it's now called Olive Beach and is located:
9 Sardar Patel Marg, Chanakyapuri (4604-0404). TO says dinner for two will set you back Rs 3,500. Whatever you choose, give us all a review. I'm always on the lookout for new food places. ![]() |

just remembered, Moets in Defenc colony might be a feasible option. Forget the rest of the places they have but they have 2 relatively new one.
The first one is the Beach Shack - Seafood drive. The second one is called Stone. Both are in the same building in the def col market. I havent been to the Beach but have not heard anything negative about it so far.. Stone i have been to a few months back and it was pretty decent. |
