Looking for a tailor in Connaught Place area
Hi all my first post on the forum.
My wife and I shall be taking our first trip to India in a few weeks (on a package tour unfortunately). We have a half afternoon near Connaught Place on our first day and then a full day a week later. Is there anywhere near there where I might get a suit or two made within that time frame. If not how reliable would it be to get them to post it to the UK at a later date? |

Don't know about the timeframe but Raymonds are the most professional and if they can't do it they will honestly direct you to where you can get it done in a jiffy. I should think they would be very reliable for packing and shipping as well!

Hi, thanks for that, Raymonds looks like pretty big company, I was hoping to find somewhere smaller. I have since found out that there are quite a few tailors in that area, so I guess we should find someone. I am just a bit worried that if they promise to send the suit home for me that once we have left the country we will never hear from them again.

There are probably a 1001 tailors in Delhi that could do the job. You could drop it off to the Rakesh near the Banyon tree on Ring road type
..... but for a rush job (with potential international shipment) I would advise to find the most professional service who will either can do the job themselves - or at the very least, give direction to a reliable outsource who can.![]() |

Found a couple of Raymond shops so I picked the nicest looking one (with a doorman with an impressive moustache). No problems at all, turned out they were closed on the day we were back in New Delhi so they sent a couple of guys to our room in the hotel for the final fitting. Picked the suit up at 13:00 the next day, perfect!
Cheers for the advice bro, much appreciated. |
