Library in Delhi?

Hi,

I have recently moved back to Delhi after living in the U.S. for about six years. I am studying for some exams, and was wondering if anyone has good recommendations for libraries that may be accessed by members of the pubic. I have already tried the British Council Library, but they have this ridiculous rule where they do not allow people to bring in their own books, so that is out of the question for me. Anything in the general South Delhi area would be most convenient, but at this point I would be willing to travel far if it is worth it! Thanks for your help!
