ISBT Kashmere Gate

Hi There,
I am planning to go to Shimla In Coming May(end of may)...
I am from Mumbai...I'll reach New Delhi by train and then,Will pick a volvo from ISBT Kashmere Gate...I've never been to delhi..

I Want To Know What Is Time Taken And Distance Between New Delhi Railway Station To ISBT Kashmere Gate(By taxi/Auto)..??
Are there any counters or stands for HRTC???how can i recognize??
Would bus already be there??or have to wait or something like that??
and my last question...
I'll reach Shimla Around 6am..(Bus from delhi is around 10 pm)
So Any Good Hotel/Guest house Near Shimla bus stand(Also, need internet access)???It should Be In Budget(max.600 rs/day)...
Thanks!!!

It will take you about 30 odd minutes to get to ISBT from the Station.

There is an HRTC counter , but unfortunately i dont think ill be able to describe the exact spot but ask anyone..they would all know...basically once you have entered the gate and are looking at the building..its at the extreme right..

Waiting time depends...if you have just missed it then you would obviously need to wait..if you have arrived just as the bus has then it will be a 20-25 minute wait before the bus leaves..

Are you on a on-duty trip?..Or just for fun? I mean, if you are not yet fixed the bus journey, than you can enjoy the toy train ride from Kalka to Shimla. You take a train to Kalka. From there you will get a unforgettable toy train ride to Shimla.

Yes, New Delhi station to ISBT is around 30 minutes. If you get out of the station from Ajmeri gate side you can also get a cycle riksaw.

And there are several busses to Shimla (of Delhi, UP and Himachal) of all types. The road is good - so you can get into any bus - it will be a jerkless ride..!

Do you have a lot of luggage? If not, then you can actually take the metro from New Delhi rlwy station to ISBT.

Are you sure the Volvo leaves from ISBT?
Some HP state volvo buses leave from central Delhi - Connaught Place.

That is not the Himachal Bhawan.... there are 2 Himachal Bhawan's in Delhi..Mandi House and Sardar Patel Marg (referred also to as the sansad.)

They depart from here..come to the Himachal Bhawan at Mandi house and then proceed to ISBT.
