Is Delhi the rape capital of India or a victim of warped reporting?

It is a huge leap of faith to believe what you read in the papers, but on the assumption that the reporting is correct, tourists appear to be far from the most likely of targets.



Travellers reading this forum will also be heartened to learn that the article stated that the majority of victims were illiterate.

None of which would offer any comfort to the Delhi residents who were attacked, but it does suggest that there is far less reason for travellers to avoid what has been reported as the "Rape Capital of India".
