Indian Football (Soccer)

Hi

I am coming to India in August and wondered if anyone has been to an Indian Premiership game before?

I plan to hopefully see a few competitive games and gain a grasp of what its like to support a team there.

Any advice on teams in and around Delhi?

Im learning my trade as a Freelance Journalist and plan to do a feature on the subject (ie a comparison with a British game from a fans perspective).

Head to Calcutta or Goa as Delhi doesnot have a team which plays in the Indian National League.

P.S. Watch a derby between East Bengal versus Mohun Bagan in Calcutta to experience the fan frenzy, the rivalry dates back to 1920.

P.P.S. I am die hard East Bengal fan

I've been to a football match in Goa, the experience to a match in Europe is quite different.

I 2nd darkside, Kolkata is the place to be.
