India International Trade Fair (IITF)

I am surprised that no one has discussed IITF organized in Delhi on IM. It is a huge trade fair, targeted at promotion of small and medium enterprises and tourism from across India.

It is held in Pragati Maidan, starts on 14th of November and Commences on 27t November every year.

I would advise people who are in Delhi in this period to take off some time and have a look at it.

However if you are a person who doesn't enjoy crowds, then please avoid weekends and evening hours. You can go in business hours i.e. 10 AM to 1 PM. The entry ticket is higher at around Rs.200-300 per person in those hours (Rs.20-30 in normal hours). But if you have no problems with crowds and enjoy the fun with live music shows, concerts, laser shows etc, then an evening of weekend is what you want .

You can gauge the popularity of the fair by these numbers : This fair attracts 3 million visitors in 14 day period. However the startling fact is that this number is higher than the number of Visitors Taj Mahal attracts in 365 days...

The best part is you can purchase specialties of all the states of India in this fair. Tea of Darjeeling, Spices of Kerela, Cashew from Goa, Handicrafts & willow of Kashmir, Apples of Himachal Pradesh, everything is sold there, directly by the producers !!

So I hope some of you might want to enjoy this !!
