How to reach Kendra VIdyalaya - APS Colony..

Hi everyone.. Looking for some help from the local Delhi members of this forum...

We are a bunch of Medical students who are required to appear for the Medical Council of India screening examination in about a week's time in delhi.. The Center allocated to us is:
Kendriya Vidyalaya
Gurgaon Road, Near APS Colony,
Delhi Cantt.-10

Now i would be really grateful if some of us could pl answer the following questions:

1. How far is the APS colony from Paharganj. We usually stay at Paharganj whenever we visit delhi and are kind of familiar with the place. So we were thinking of staying at paharganj and then taking a cab to APS colony on the morning of the exam. Just wondering if that's ok and how long the trip should take at about 7am in the morning on a sunday...

2. Is APS colony before or after the International Airport in delhi?

3. Do you feel we should put up at a different locality than paharganj? Any hotels closer to this exam center? any particular names or details would be a great help.

Thank you all in advance for your support.

Delhi Cantt is in South Delhi. Although commuting from Central to South on a Sunday morning in Auto-rickshaw/ taxi should not be such a problem but keep in mind that it should take you around 45-60 minutes in moderate traffic conditions

Its better to stay at mahipalpur which is near to APS kendriya vidyalaya and also very near to Dhaula Kuan, which a main Hub of Interstate Buses.Mahipalpur would be a suitable place because there are lots of hotels in low budget price somewhere around Rs.500 to Rs.1000. From Paharganj to Delhi cantt will take 40-45 minutes but from Mahipalpur to delhi Cantt would hardly be 10-15 minutes.

Thanks,
suresh Sahu.

Dear Akimbo,

This school is near Subroto Park, before the Airport. At a Sunday morning you can easily reach this place in an Cab/Auto within 30 minutes.

You can stay at Youth Hostel, Chankyapuri. But I do not see any problem in staying at Paharganj also.

Wherever you stay book your cab at www.megacabs.com or www.merucabs.com

I remember giving my entrance exam in the same school about 7 years back. School is easy to locate, Well before Int'l Airport. Its called kendriya vidyalaya no.2. I dont see any problem in reaching APS Colony from Paharganj.

I'm attaching a complete list of directions from Pahar ganj to APS Colony so you dont get lost. Hope it helps.
