How to go to OLD Delhi Station from IGI Airport

1. No that starts at Karol Bagh/Jhandewalan. SPM Marg later becomes Azad Market Road and Banda Bahadur Marg. I don't recall what it was called in the old days.

2. Right. I was feeling too lazy to type it all out.

Hi,

I am landing into delhi at 8:00 p.m, and i have a train to catch from old delhi station (DLI) at 9:40 p.m. Do u think i have sufficient time to get to the station, now that there is lot of construction work going around the airport.

Also advise what wud be the easiest means to get to the DLI station.

Prepaid taxi is the easiest way to get there.
You'll probably arrive about an hour after your train has departed.

Hey thanks dude, now i can make some alternate arrangements. I need to get to Kalka b4 4:30 in the morning, i think i shd go via chandigarh now. wat say???

I land at 5:05 pm and have a train booked from DLI (i think it is Old Delhi) that leaves at 9:25, bearing in mind i am arriving on Saturday, could i make it? if so how do you suggest i go, taxi or metro, we are a party of three with with light bags. also i understand i need to get off at chandani chowk but where do get on?

Take a pre-paid taxi direct to OLD Delhi. You will make it easily. Metro is still being built from the Airport to New Delhi station and will be commissioned in 2010.

I shall be landing at Delhi at 7.30 p.m. on a friday. Considering a period of 30 minutes for me to come out, I shall be at the prepaid taxi counter by 8 p.m. Can I catch a train at 10.00 p.m. from Old Delhi Station or would it be too close.

If you leave by 8 you can reach Old Delhi by 9.15 PM easily. You will struggle only if flight is delayed.

Hi Friends,

Am planning my itinerary and hence some more queries.. If my train reaches Old Delhi (DLI) at 4.30 a.m. and I take an auto / prepaid taxi, how long will it take to reach the airport. Considering early morning hours, I think it should be faster.

I need to travel from Delhi to Mumbai, where there are hourly flights. Assume I need to be at the airport by 5.30 a.m. to catch 6.15 a.m flight. In that case, arriving at 4.30 a.m. would do (the actual arrival of train is 4.00 a.m. but am keeping a cushion of half an hour).
