Hotel to avoid in Delhi: Maharani Guest House

We stayed for one night in the Maharani Guest House. The location was very good (central but outside Pahargang and Karol Bagh that are very congested). Looked good from outside, but the room had not only mosquitoes but also some insect in the bed that bit us all night. One of the worst nights in hotel we've had - and not acceptable for a upper mid-range hotel.

Maharani Guest House

In any smaller town, such a name would mean a wh***house! Are you sure it was an upper mid range one?

Hi Kavindra,

If you stayed at Maharani Guest House in Sunder Nagar I agree the location is excellent. The few hotels in Sunder Nagar are often full so I too stayed at Maharani amongst others. Happily, no bites!

Actually, we stayed 1 night at the Maharani Guesthouse..It was our last night in India and it was the worst hotel of the whole trip...Our room was huge, but filthy..I made them come and vacuum..Even after they were done, it was still dirty..Anyhow, I would never stay there again...But just down the street is the Jukaso Inn..We stayed there the first 3 nights we were in India and I thought the hotel was charming...
