Hotel suggestion for seeing the Taj Mahal

We are planning to stay in Delhi for two days to see the Taj Mahal. We dont arrive till 1:30 am What hotel would you suggest?

We are meeting our two adult children for a two week trip to see the Taj Mahal then to Thailand and Cambodia.

We have never been to India before so I dont know how much time to allow to see the Taj Mahal. Thanks Jan

Try to see Fatepur Sikrias well (mind the clouds of touts). Probably 2 days given children. I would suggest a place with a garden area and AC..

there are hotels near the Taj that offer views from the rooms. I was looking at the Taj view hotel for about $100 a night - might be worth the splurge.

You should check tripadvisor.com.

I can highly recommend the Hilton Trident - but that may be outside your budget.

I would certainly always go with trip advisor, they seem like the best option...

I have stayed at a few different hotels around there. The one that I liked the most was the Maya Hotel and Restaurant for something like Rs 700 per night. A few doors down from it is a cheaper one for Rs 400 per night. I didn’t stay there, just went in and took a look around. Didn’t look bad for the price but I was already booked in at the Maya.
Here’s the Maya:

On the east of the Taj is the Palace View Hotel which is also very nice for around Rs 800 and is also a short walk from the Taj

There are also 2 nice hotels in Fatehpur Sikri where things are a little cheaper, and a third one called the Hill Top Hotel which is not as nice but very peaceful with beautiful views.

I stayed in Taj View. Very nice! The view isn't that good. You have to pay extra for top floor rooms. They have every facility. As it's only a couple of days, it's worth splashing out.
