anyone know about this hotel called "Hotel Airport Inn" in Delhi?
I've made an online reservation with them from this site : http://hotelairportinn.net/ There is delivery failure message back to me when I sent emails to hotelairportinn@rediffmail.com and helpdesk@eglobe-solutions.com The strange thing is that the hotel has no phone number info on the site mentioned above. ![]() |

I think it is this one
http://www.indiaprofile.com/new-delh...hotel-inn.html and this may be the address/phone number A-7,1,Mahipalpur,India, Mahipalpur, New Delhi, 110037, India +91 11 26786660 (from a google of 'hotel airport in delhi') Mahipalpur is not far from the airport; it can be a crowded and noisy place if on the main road.

Janpath to Palam airport would be ~30 km, which in an air conditioned radio taxi would ordinarily amount to Rs 600 @ 15 Rs / km. However, I think mega cabs is running a promotional campaign at the moment for airport drop @Rs 350 from anywhere in Delhi. You could alternately hire a taxi from a local taxi stand for Rs 400 or so, or an auto for ~ Rs 150-200. However, more than the cost it is the time that you'll take to get to Palam from Janpath that you'd have to worry about. If it's in the evening that you'll be heading out, you'll be going in the direction of traffic. There's no such problem in the morning / afternoon or late night (post 11 pm). At such times, you wouldn't take more than 30-40 mins.

thanks for the link. I've decided to cancel room reservation with that hotel as I am uncomfortable with mail bounced back and no one to attend to my query. Strange, isn't it? |

Last year I stayed at a very low budget hotel very near the Delhi airport.
The place was the Tarra Hotel/Guest House and was located on Mahipalpur Extension, Vasant Kunj. The place was my last choice as I had arrived in Delhi at night without a hotel booked and all other budget places near the airport were full. Still, the Tarra was listed in my Lonely Planet guide and was OK for one night. The manager was friendly and helpful with directions the next morning. Before leaving, I spoke to another guest who thought the Tarra a peaceful place to spend several days. From the Lonely Planet website the Tarra may have been recently relocated a short distance and perhaps is also called the Eurostar International. The website information is confusing. Would be interested to see a post from someone who has been there recently. Extra: Kingstonian here in IM has provided a detailed account of finding the Tarra in its new location, dated Feb 18, 2008. Just search Hotels for Tarra. Last edited by unclelach : Oct 18th, 2008 at 09:09. Reason: More information |

Hotel Shanti Palace is one of the larger hotels among the bunch of hotels that dot the road in Mahipalpur. Its bout 3-4 Km from the domestic airport and nice clean one.Staff would be well versed in english so language shouldnt be a problem.
