help! late night train -> airport

Hello, I need some advice.

I will be taking a train from Jaipur to Delhi on Nov 30. I have an international flight that leaves Delhi at 12:55am on Dec 1.

I would like to spend most of the day in Jaipur and then go to Delhi in the afternoon and to airport that evening, but it seems my train options are limited.

Am I pushing my luck to take the 2413 Aii Jat express leaving Jaipur at 16:35 and arriving at New Delhi (NDLS) at 21:26? This would not give me much time to get to airport, etc.

Any other thoughts/suggestions? Thank you very much!

yes you are pushing your luck and that to too hard...

You Should plan to be at the airport at least 3 hours before the departure time...however you simply don't have that much time on hand...

Even though traffic will not be a problem that hour..however you should keep time for te train delays...

that's what i expected

ok..since late night train is out of question, any other ideas so i don't have to hang out in delhi all day with my luggage?

would it be worth hiring a driver for the day from jaipur to the airport later in the afternoon? maybe leave jaipur around 3pm and arrive at delhi around 8 or 9pm?

I would say leave Jaipur around 2 Pm...you can easily take a bus..there are luxury buses also available...So I assume this way you will be near the International Airport in Delhi at around 7 PM...

Then I wont mind spending couple of hours lounging around in Radisson or some cheaper bars in Mahipalpur area..

From there you can leave at 9 OR 9:30 PM..it will hardly take 15-20 minute for the airport..

This way atleast you will have the buffer on hand..

PS : Just remember that International Airport is located near the point from where you will enter Delhi while coming from Jaipur..of if coming by road..you don't need to go to the point where the bus ends..you can get down at Radisson Hotel and hire a Auto/taxi...it will take 10-20 minutes for the airport from there...

You might also like to check if the train you mentioned earlier stops at Delhi Cantt station and at what time..

Take a bus and as suggested by Shashank get down and relax at the lounge of Radisson hotel. If you have some extra cash indulge yourself and treat yourself to a great farewel Indian dinner at the Kabab Factory in the hotel.

Should I pre-book this bus ticket or are buses easy to find/frequent from Jaipur to Delhi? Thanks!

Normal Buses, leave very frequently from Jaipur to Delhi..for luxury buses like Volvo, you might have to check the timings and might have to pre-book as well...

Otherwise normal buses would be Less than Rs.150 and they are equally fast, albeit less comfortable seating and down market pitstops...
