good place to stay in Paharganj?
Me and my brother will be there at the end of february. We will stay there for only one ore two nights. Does anyone know a good place in Paharganj or near the train-station. Last time we were at the Hare Rama or Hare Krischna, was a real shitty place with now windows...
This time we want something better. Good would be something with windows or even balcony, but no ac... Something nice for 300-1000Rs.? ![]() |

there are dozens of good places to stay near Main-Bazar. Just shop around a bit and ask to have a look at a room till you found something that suits you. I think hotel sweetdream is a decent place (atleast it has windows and some have balconies). Its in a lane off main-bazar.....

The gutter is about as good as the hotels in that area.

very constructive and helpful Shaktipalooza, I've never stayed in Phar Ganj myself but last trip helped one of your fellow countrymen find a room in a hurry, the Royal showed us the rooms and I would have no problems staying there myself although I prefer the Imperial, but then again not everyone has that sort of budget!!

I am staying in Delhi right now. There is a quite nice one right near the station, it is one of the first on the right, I think it may have been "Lords Hotel"?? Not sure. The one I am staying at right now is pretty nice, Hotel Shelton 400rs for a double with hot water and a window facing onto Pahar Ganj. Nice reception with an elevator, rooms are quite good, decent size and relatively clean.
