Food
I am planning to dine in Bukhara -- does it live up to the hype?

The food is very good...but the place is overhyped and overpriced...and the service sucks. Better land up real early to get a place at a reasonable hour.
I personally prefer Dum Pukht in the same hotel though it is an altogether different cuisine...or, for that matter, Masala Art in the Taj hotel next door |

Go for it! There is so much great food & drink flowing that they actually have to dress you up in a large bib .... I accidently on purpose forgot to take mine off after one of those feasts...... and ended up with a bit of a souvenir from that joint

Pure Veg - Pure Veg!?
Sorry not possible tonight - Madame. No tonight we're talking Afghani cuisine - kebab platters, lucious lamb dishes, naan the equivalent surface area of a small elephant, a decent bar selection, & the best phirni & kulfi in town amidst a very relaxing, thematic ambience - definitely worth a treat/splurge.![]() ![]() |
