Food

I am planning to dine in Bukhara -- does it live up to the hype?

Cheers

The food is very good...but the place is overhyped and overpriced...and the service sucks. Better land up real early to get a place at a reasonable hour.

I personally prefer Dum Pukht in the same hotel though it is an altogether different cuisine...or, for that matter, Masala Art in the Taj hotel next door

Thumbs up

Go for it! There is so much great food & drink flowing that they actually have to dress you up in a large bib .... I accidently on purpose forgot to take mine off after one of those feasts...... and ended up with a bit of a souvenir from that joint

Pure Veg - Pure Veg!? Sorry not possible tonight - Madame. No tonight we're talking Afghani cuisine - kebab platters, lucious lamb dishes, naan the equivalent surface area of a small elephant, a decent bar selection, & the best phirni & kulfi in town amidst a very relaxing, thematic ambience - definitely worth a treat/splurge.
