First time out of the US and going to Delhi!!!

My brother is getting married in Delhi in the beginning of March and I will be going for about a week and a half. I am 20 years old and enjoy clothes shopping, eating, and sightseeing. I will have my brothers wives family to show me around.

This is my first time leaving the US. I have been to many major cities in the US (NYC, Miami).

Anyone have any general suggestions?

thanks

Take a camera, an open mind, and HAVE FUN!

You'll love it!

Clothes shopping! I'm a guy and found a ton of stuff. I shopped in Karol Bagh about a 10 minute, 30Rs autorickshaw ride from NDLS train station, and found tons of dress pants and dress shirts. It was a completely different environment. After you spend about $30, more employees gather around and start pouring you coffee and pulling more and more stuff out of the shelves for you to see.

Eating...check out the forums. There's a lot of info on it. I really suggest you read the things about what foods to eat and general precautions.

You'll have a great time with the family. Indians are very generous and outgoing hosts and they'll help to steer you into the better shops and restaurants and away from the scammers.
