So I've been reading up on weather conditions in Delhi, but I am curious as to what I will actually experience. I arrive on Sunday and the forecast is rain for 3 days, then sunny for a while after that. Will I be wearing my raincoat for 3 days straight? or.. (this may seem like a strange question).. how does it rain in Delhi normally?
I'll be around the Delhi area for 2+ months so hopefully the rain stops soon! Thanks! |

I'd pack the snorkel & flippers if I were you .... and the full GORE-TEX® wardrobe cause you're gonna get wet!!!!
.... just kidding - there are some major downpours & off/on rain but there's also fair to good weather too. The monsoon's moisture production changes from year to year so the Delhiites, who should be checking in soon, will be able to give you a live & as it happens report!

If you are a Delhiite, you will say hope it never stops !! The more rain, better it is. Even though infrastructure crumbles, but overall rain is good for economy, health and spirits.

I was in Delhi a few weeks ago, and found it extremely humid - don't bother taking a raincoat, even in goretex you would be soaked on the inside in minutes.
Although I had an umbrella with me, it didn't get opened once. When it rained, although it was a bit heavy a few times, most times I rushed out into it because it felt so good! ![]() |
