Delhi Vacation ... Help | Advice needed

I would be on vacation in Delhi from Aug 11th Evening to 23rd Morning.
I have 11 full days of vacation out there... I stay down south and have not much idea about the northern wonders...
( Basically I have nothing to do other than go around Delhi )

Can anyone suggest on how I can plan the trip?
I would like to cover a LOT of places...

Can I make it to Rohtang Pass in the avaiable time? Would Mig August be a great time?

It would be great if the trip is split into 3 parts like
Saturday-Sunday-Monday (15th Aug)
Wed-Thu
Fri-Sat-Sun
Mon

{Would not like to avoid Haridvar Rishikesh Shimla Chandigarh as I have enjoyed them already}

Thanks for any details on this...

You could take five days and go to Manali and then up to Rotang Pass; it's a lot of distance to cover and it might depend on how the roads are repaired after monsoon floods and how you will travel.

You might also want to see Amritsar, and possibly Agra.

If you're only going for 11 days, best confine your journey to a specific area, e.g. Rajasthan.

Look at the sub-forum for the area.

Easily could do the triangle Delhi-Agra-Jaipur, with loads of time to spare; I'm sure there's loads of threads about this elsewhere.

I think u have posted in wrong forum..... its for trekking and mountaineering. so most geeks here, including me would love to give u ideas to trek in uttranchal or himachal.

anyway, as monsoon has come its half the worth touring in hills (view are blocked due to thick cloud) . rather roam aroung northern plain, agra, delhi itself and may be haridwar mussourie, corbet national park.

Hey,

Do the regular stuff

Delhi - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur - Jodhpur - Varanasi - it is just right for 10 days.

Since you haven't specifically mentioned trekking or mountaineering in your post, as Babuchand says, I think you've posted this in the wrong section of the forum.

I'm shifting the thread to the Delhi section where you might get some suggestions from Delhi-ites on what they do when vacation time comes around.

Thanks for moving it to the delhi section... will have more visibility... I did not nice this section earlier... oops.

Thanks for the suggestions as well...

I have the trip planned this way,
Friday at home and around Gurgaon Malls
Sat-Sun-Mon(Aug 15) -> To Nainital n Corbet. (With relatives in car)

Tue-Wed-Thur-Friday -> Please help on what can be done...
Can I make it to Manali and Rohtang? I would be venturing here alone or with some travel agent.

Sat-Sun -> Agra/Jaipur (With relatives in car)
Monday at home and around delhi

Thanks in advance...

If you're going all the way to Nainital, then I suggest your continuing in Kumaon, instead of rushing to Manali and Rohtang. You'd be better off visiting Almora, Binsar, Kasauni and Ranikhet, from Tue to Fri.

Nahan+

Seems to be some change of plans...

I would be travelling to "NAHAN" on Friday. Any pointers on how this place is and any places around it to see?

I plan to travel back to Delhi on Monday Night.

Is it possible that I can extent the trip for 2 extra days and cover some exiting place around it?

Will be travelling next thursday... any update would be helpful on the climate at that place...
