Delhi Train Station confusion
Need some help to sort out the above.
Flying into Delhi from Bhutan in January for a holiday and now sure where each of the train stations are: On the way in, looks like I need to go to 'Delhi S Rohilla' station from my train to Jaipur. Alternatively, I could get on at 'Delhi Cantt' a few minutes later. Which is best from the International Airport? On the way out, my preference looks like a train that goes to 'H Nizamuddin'. Where is that in relation to the airport? If it goes further, which is best 'New Delhi' or 'Delhi' station. My transit time is short if I don't use H Nizamuddin. If anybody can clarify these options for me I would appreciate it. Rick |

Okay Here is rough pointer to what is where in Delhi.
Lets assume New Delhi Railway station as center(which is close to central Delhi): Sarai Rohilla Railway station is few Kms towards West. Hazzart Nizzamudin is approx 5 KMs south-East Delhi Cantt Rly station is 12KMs south Delhi Airport is approx 18KMs South. So While flying into Delhi and catching train to Jaipur, the closest will be Delhi Cantt, but beware the train usually stops just for few minutes. While flying out, Hazzart Nizzamudin rly station is fine to reach Airport. It may take same time from New Delhi Rly Station to reach airport. Most of the trains go further to New Delhi or Old Delhi rly station but I'll advice get down at Hazzart Nizzamudin coz you'll further waste 30mins in travelling further from airport if you carry on to any other rly station.

Delhi CANTT is closer from the International Airport. approx 25 mins to get there ... but depends on the traffic, and upon the time you are landing in...
