I agree that..that is why I am not going to higher Himalayas.

But yes, let me tell that car is a Carb Maruti Esteem, and features regularly in major rallies and tours...

Regardless of the exteriors, it is in perfect shape inside, still touched 160Kmph and is hard to beat on a good road..

I will take it to Dharamshala OR someplace else in mountains first, to see how it responds to hills, before deciding on higher Himalayas..

Btw..when i sounded the warning, I told my dad my intentions of buying a SUV once I have a proper parking place..

Which SUVs are popular there - the big ones or the smaller ones?

Well when we say SUVs Or MUVs (Multi Utility), the two names that come to mind are Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari.

I saw a lot of the big Land Cruiser types around but can't remember seeing the smaller ones - we have a Subaru Forester which would be great for Himalayan type stuff as its powerful enough with 4WD but also not big like a truck..
But they all have different names so its hard to compare.... with the price of petrol going up like it is I'm amazed anyone can drive those big things... AUD$1.50 a litre here now, more the other day

Coming to the food, where is our North Delhi specialist..

I was just watching a program on NDTV Metronation, and they featured a Nut-Khut Chaat Bhandaar from Model Town-2. The menu looked amazing and it seemed to be very clean, and prices were North/West Delhi standard...

I am not sure of your tyre conditions, but otherwise you'll not even have a hitch driving esteem in proper mountain roads. Do not even think of off-roading with your stock esteem

Any particular location specified.. As far as i know only 1 chat bhandaar is popular i.e. near to "Standards" Showroom in Model Town - 2. Yes but we have a very delicious paav-bhaaji maker named "Shankar" standing beneath of Chatrasal Stadium Side-Wall. It is so much popular that it is often called "shankar paav bhaaji wala"

It might be a problem being fully loaded and then any type of off-roading done with it.
