I think I have eaten at this Udipi joint with a regular member of the meet up group. Yes the food is good and pretty close to authentic.

although nehru place is famous for its eatries.. bt in nehru place itself.. there is a person/shop.. i dont remember the actual name..bt when i was working in nehru place.. we used to call the place as "LINE WALA"
the reason behind this is that its a very very small joint.. and people stand in line to get food..and the place has no seating .. You stand in line to take food... and then stand and eat... Remember taking rice with Shahi Paneer.. only in 30 RS awsome food... |

you are talking about Standard Punjabi Dhaba...it used to be in a hole in the wall and in lunch time you have to stand behind 100 people in a queue for your plate of rice
 He has recently changed his location, and has taken a much larger shop in Kushel House (Near SBI) in Nehru Place itself. And as luck would have it, the first day he started operating from new shop, we were in Nehru place itself. So we went to his old place to grab our fill, however there was no sign of this shop. I was very disappointed, but then I saw a small kid distributing some pamphlets (sp??), I read one and it gave the new Address for Standard Punjabi Dhaba. We rushed to the place, to find out that there were already 200 people in line to grab their plate over there. Now you can imagine the popularity of the place, whatever the location he operates from, the line only gets longer. |

Maybe .. I am not too sure about the name... yeah but the last time i visited the place.. say exactly 1.4 yrs ago .. it was just a hole in the wall
