Delhi on Christmas
It looks like we're going to be arriving in Delhi on Christmas day, and initially I assumed that this wouldn't inconvenience us (unlike in the US, where the entire country shuts down for Christmas), but then I read in a guide book that it is considered a national holiday. Anyone have any insight into this? Is it a bad day to be travelling (i.e. do the trains run? are the hotels all booked?) or does it not matter?
Thanks so much, Hana |

Havana, even though Christmas is a national holiday, trains/plain and other services continue to function as usual. It's just that things will be way to crowded that day. shopping centers will be busy, and hotels will almost certainly be busy so you may want to book your hotel in advance.
Other than that, I don't thing there would be anything you need to be concerned about. Enjoy your trip. |
