Delhi-kanpur Drive (HELP)

Hi,

I'm planning to drive from Delhi to Kanpur during end March. Last time I drove was 3 years back and the highway was still being constructed. can anyone tell me the condition of the roads and the time expected. I think that the golden quadrilateral Stretch between Delhi-Kanpur must be complete by now.

It's not fully constucted yet but it is *very* much possible - not difficult at all. Of course you have to be prepared for not being as comfortable in a 4+ lane highway.

Perhaps thousands of trucks and cars commute on this highway each day, so there is no question of any concerns on this route. I had also driven but earlier than you but many of my friends commute on this highway.

Alternatively, if you are much concerned, you can take Delhi->Agra->Kanpur Highway which is still better. Del->Agra is very good and Agra->Kanpur is very much doable comfortably.

I was planning on doing it via agra. I heard that agra to kanpur is a problem. Is it true. Delhi-agra is a breeze

but not too much info on agra-kanpur

YES DELHI AGRA IS A BREEZE TRY STARTING EARLY MORNING SO AS TO AVOID THE TRAFFIC AT DELHI BORDER

Agra to Kanpur is not a trouble. Many patches do have 4 lane highways but some paches are still underway. In all it's not a problem either.
