Singapore - please Wiki this and you will get the details about the word Singapore. I forgot to Include that Sanskrit is the ancient Indian Language which is intern called as mother of all Indian Languages and Hindi is the latest version of sanskrit. Where Yoga (sum) is also documented in the language Sanskrit. Which is also called as the purest way of life.

Er, all musings on the Indian ancient past aside , why not just post the locations of those cafes here? Will be helpful to others, and this board is after all for public sharing of information.

You may find aircon cybercafes in Delhi's VV area or I should say at most of the locations quite easily.

Most cyber cafes will be comfortable. Even if they dont have air-con they will have enough ventilation to ensure things stay cool... for the customers as well as the hardware.

Incidentally, just to point out that you can get an internet connection at home in as little as 2 days. Call them , they will come over do the wiring and then an engineer will come and install the landline (if applicable) and set you up...its a very efficient process now.

How silly of me, of course PCs need a reasonable temperature, I already knew that! I guess my trepidation about the heat has already dulled my mind!

Even though the flat already has a landline, for which we already have the number, my boyfriend's employers told him arranging things can be troublesome and to expect it to take at least a week to ten days to get online.
(I know things can and will go awry, but they seem far too negative and pessimistic about many things, perhaps they are trying to manage our expectations!)

Anyway, even the idea of it being possible in two days is really great news, thanks!

Yep, maybe it is expectation management because in this day and age in India it just does not take that long. Plus you are in VV which is high-profile enough colony for broadband connections and service providers to be present at every corner.

A lot of times the guy who supplies cable television to the area or block will have a tie up with one of the service providers...for example in Def col the tie up is with Hathway....its a good option if the tie up and plan being offered is attractive as it can take care of broadband + television in one shot..
