Delhi in July / August, do any internet cafes have aircon?
Thread title says it all, really.
I may be coming to India earlier than I thought, joining my partner in Vasant Vihar for a week when he arrives from England. Clearly it's a dumb idea for someone who can find English summers hot, and I am really going to suffer, but who would turn down such a chance? Not me! While I don't intend to be a complete slave to the aircon, I am going to be realistic about it. We're unlikely to get internet set up straight away and I'm going to want to get online, if only to keep up with any IM meetups! Would it be hard for me to find internet cafes with aircon, either in VV or Delhi itself? |

Hopeful *bump*
C'mon guys, someone must know. I'm not asking for a comprehensive list of them, just some idea whether or not I'm being completely unrealistic! ![]() |

Most small internet cafes don't. Franchises of biggish chains, like satyam iway do.
There used to be one of those in Besant Lok (V Vihar) but it has closed down. There may be others in one of the markets; I haven't looked.

Last summer I have visited one in the Khan Market. Between the two blocks of the market there is a small lane, there was the air-coned internet cafe.

I was just hoping to call in somewhere while I was in Delhi anyway, or wander over to a local place in Vasant Vihar. |

Hi Singsub,
Singh means a Lion - Thats the Hindi word (the primary language in India, driven out from the word Hindu. and the word Pur or (pore) means a place to stay (city). we have more than 800 cities names ending with ****Pur. So this means that even the Word Singapore has driven from HINDI. So singapore is a small, sophesticated, cute son of India seperated by few people few centuries back. The History of India is well documented and well associated with evolution of life around Indus valley civilisation. :-). India covers, Himalaya's,Sea,deserts like Thar, forests, plenty of rivers inclusing the worlds oldest. Whole of the world was intrested to know about India to learn the true way of living the human life, we have BC 5000 years old Yoga to talk about that today, which is the grammatic documented version of the relogion called Hinduism. even today being sitting on a count of Billions- we still free to live happily in India along with all comunities of the world. Thanks, Yoge |

firstly can you substantiate that hindi, is "'driven out of the word hindu"' ?? since when did singapore with more than 75% ethnic chinese become a "cute son of india" ?? and which indian river is sthe world's oldest?? true way of living a humaan life?? is there really one?? 5000bc.. makes it 7000 years old... that yoga is the "gramatic documented version of the relogion called hindusim" is going to be news to a lot of people. are you a member of the RSS or some other hindu naationalist outfit ?? btw this thread was about cybercafes in delhi (wrongly claimed by many indians to be "the oldest capital in the world"). |

This is all true, or else would you not agree the Word Singh does not means Lion? And May I know if any of the Word in Chinese language is close the the Word Singapore? or even if the Pronounciation close to Singapore.
its a worh from Hindi - even today it means same a place where lions live or city of lions.(singa-pore). cheers!! Gangeges + Brahamputra are among the oldest rivers in the world (which still flows) History of Medicine - WIKI this please you will get an Idea about the age in Indian civilisation. its move over 7000BC. A History of India by Burton Stein (Series: Blackwell History of the World Series) please refer -This history provides an original, succinct but sustained narrative of the development of Indian society, culture and polity from 7000 BC to the present. Themes explored include: The interactions and tensions between cultures and politics, communities and states, and the region and the outside world Findings of recent research on the range of Indian history and pre-history The nature of pre-modern as well as contemporary politics Origins and consequences of the Mughal and British conquests The link between contemporary problems - such as the role of women, poverty and religions nationalism - and India's rich and varied history. May be You can plan to visit India, I would be your personal guide to give you in depth details about India. :-) by the way what I know about RSS is that they help RedCross in the natural calamities like Sunami.(awarded by RedCross). They help society clean, they grow trees , save forest, opposes the industialisation which cause global warming, I think you only follow what politics shows, they are anti Al Qaida and other terrerist outfits across world. Thanks, Yoge |
