A check in counter too many?

Post check in, entry into International departure immigration. In the far distance lies the entry to domestic departure security clearance

The immigration area. 96 counters (dep + arr combined) in all

Retail / Duty Free area - loads and loads of options coming up


Toward the departure gates. There are 4 such piers with more than 50 boarding gates. 97 travelators all over the airport.

The international apron. 3 stands for A380 with triple boarding bridges

The view arriving passengers will get as they enter the terminal from the piers. Immigration counters in blue can be seen.

Bagagge reclaim - 14 belts including 2 for A380 sized loads

The travellator in the middle with departure gates on either side are reminiscent a lot of airports in Singapore, KL etc.
14th July isn't very far. Can't wait for further reviews.

The new T3Terminal is a combined International+Domestic terminal. The old terminal wll be used only by Spicejet, GoAir and Indigo for some time and later on will be converted to a Charter Flight terminal. Inauguration on 3 July by PM and operations from 14 July.

Thanks IndiaMike.com, have been waiting to see these snaps for a long time and looking forward to landing at IGI airport next time..for long have wished for a good airport at Delhi(and elsewhere in India)..i think i'm gonna spend good 2-3 hrs to roam around the airport when i land there next time. I hope the support staff is well trained as well!!

terminal 3 jet airways?
Does anyone know whetehr jet airways will be using this nice new terminal for international flights?

Looks like a HUGE improvement, I'm a frequent flyer and not too impressed by the current offerings in IGI (domestic terminal is ok though). Thanks for the pics, I'll experience it in real life in about 3 weeks.
