Delhi: Hotel Downtown?

Hey,

I've read some really good reviews for the Hotel Downtown in Delhi on the lonely planet website but can't seem to find anyway of contacting them as there is no email address or website. Tried the phone number but it didn't work. Has anyone stayed there and know if it is any good? If so does anyone know how I could book it?! I am going to be staying in delhi for 3 weeks from next week so would like to book somewhere asap.

Thanks very much

I have stayed there a few years ago. It is a small place, located in a narrow side-alley to the left if you come from New Delhi Railway Station into Paharganj, not too far from where the road forks into the Main Bazaar. Rooms are very small. There are many other hotels even at that narrow alley. Unless you arrive late at night, no need to book. Yeah, their phone numbers do not work, I remember I tried them once, too.

as above ,have stayed in the downtown also next door in the star (paradise ?) There always apears to be rooms available but if it blows out there is always next door ,and also next door to that as well !! Rooms are alright ,staff are alright and you get what you pay for ,it's cheap .Just down the alley is a Little restaurant ,which ,if you can get a seat is excellent for breakfast .Have fun & happy traveling
P.S I wanna go back .
P.P s The star paradise can be booked on the net with airport pick up .
