Delhi: from Airport to Connaugh P.

Hi,

I'm traveling to Delhi next april, arriving at I.G. International Airport. Since my hotel is located near Connaugh Plaza, I would like to know the best way to get there. We're 5 people with some bags. Bus, train, taxi, metro, baloon?

From the hotel we will also need to go to Agra and return (one day) and Jaipur (another day) without luggage. Should we take the train or bus? From where? For how much? At what time?

I know these are a lot of question for just an email, but I apreciate all the help you can provide!

You should find the pre-paid taxi window inside the arrivals area of the airport and arrange for a pre-paid taxi to your hotel. Since there are five of you you may need to either get two taxis or a little van if there is one. There are no busses, trains, metros.....or balloons.

Going to Jaipur for one day just isn't worth it,
It takes 5-6 hours each way by car,,,,,,,,

don't be fooled by physical distances between cities you can see on maps of India. it will take you longer to travel by road a given distance in India compared to what you may be used to in Europe.

Don't go to the private taxi operaor's booth. Go to the Delhi Police/Govt. run pre-paid taxi booth.
Arconditioned Volvo coaches ply Delhi Jaipur from the Bikaner house at India gate.
