Delhi first time.......lotsa questions.

Hello,

I am visiting Delhi for about 3 days next month in mid-september on some work. I am looking for advice about visiting places in Delhi and around. I also want to go to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri. I am on a bit of a budget...about INR 10000 for the whole trip including everything.

My tentative schedule looks like this...

Day 1 - Arrive in the afternoon, travel rest of the day
Day 2 - Busy most of the day with work (free in the evening)
Day 3 - Travel to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri
Day 4 - Come back to Delhi, go around, Fly back in the night.
(I cannot do Agra on Day 4 since it is a Friday)

Does this schedule make sense? Given that my stay in Delhi is staggered, what is the best sequence/logistics of covering places in Delhi...(e.g: South Delhi on Day 1 and Old City on day 2??)

What is the best mode of transportation around Delhi. Is it best to hire a car and driver? How much will it cost? What about Delhi night life? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Such a short time !!! Will you be staying at a hotel ?if you are I'm sure they will arrange a car and driver for you ,or recommend a tour .One of the government ones with half / full day tours should do it .
