Delhi Airport to Anand Vihar Rail terminal?

Hi,

Does anyone know how long it will take by taxi to get between these places?

I've got a flight arriving at 1525 on Sunday 15th August and I want to catch the 1940 train. That's a good four hours; seeing as it's been "fairly" quiet on the roads on Sundays so far in India, I'm hoping it'll be enough time assuming the flight is on time.

Any thoughts?

It will take you around 1 and a half hour from airport to Anandvihar.

hi dear it will take maximum one and half hour to reach anand vihar train station from the international airport. If your flight is landing at 1525 then it will take about one hour for the custom clearance and coming out. From there you can take a prepaid taxi which should cost you maximum Rs.300. The total distance is approximately 35 kms.

And from AV to Paharhanj? Are there prepaid taxi boots at AV? Just found out there is a metro station too, but I don't think I'll "experiment" with that with all the language as I've never used it.

Thogh I've just seen on the map that the line 4 goes straight form AV to RK Ashram, that should be Paharganj I believe? Hmm, maybe that's not a bad option after all ...

Anand vihar station has the pre paid cabs available and its 45 minutes to 1 hour drive between these two places. But if you have luggage then I will suggest you to cab or at least auto riksha to cover this distance. With luggage it will not be comfertable to travel by metro as metro tends to be very crowded. You are right, R.K.Ahram is just close to Paharganj.

I'm back in october, have to go direct to Anand Vihar for my train...
What abbout the "new" airport express from the international airport to New Delhi, change train to Rajiv Chowk, again train change to ANVT???

I arrive at 3 a.m., could take the first train at 5...
20 min. to the center, another half an hour to the train station + waiting time

I think, the old way (by taxi) is better then twice train change and maybe three times waiting in a queue for scanning my backpack?
How far distance is the Anand Vihar metro station from the train termial?
