Delhi/Agra tours - single woman - 3 days

I'm a single woman, traveling alone to Delhi for the first time. I'm coming in early May to Delhi after business in Chennai and would like to know the best way to find a safe, reliable, reasonably inexpensive tours of Delhi, Agra and surrounding area. I've seen a lot of internet offers, but don't know anything about them, and don't feel comfortable with their safety/reliability. I'm staying at the Taj Ambassador in Delhi. Could they arrange for me to join a tour? I've also seen that Gray Line has day tours at reasonable prices. I don't do well under really hot conditions, so would like to be sure I can get an air conditioned bus or vehicle. I'll have 3 days to spend. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The travel desk at your hotel will surely arrange this trip for you. In case you want to do it yourself as a day trip take the early morning Shatabdi Express from Delhi for Agra. It is a fully aircon deluxe train service. You can hire a cab in Agra for your sight seeing and return by the same train in the evening.

Second Jyoti. Take the Shatabdi and hire a cab/car at Agra.. the hotel may be able to help you find a recommended company in Agra too.

Unless, of course, your budget permits you to hire the car from Delhi to Agra and back.. but, even so, the train will be more comfortable.

This year the summer is very hot so if you want to take cab from Delhi make sure it is airconditioned.

The AC Cab is not very expensive and it will arrange by hotel travel desk.
