Dehli to hot???

I am arriving in dehli with my girlfriend on the 17th october!!!!
2 weeks away.
I thought the weather would have cooled but it still seems to be between 85-95 degrees!!!!!
I was thinking it would be more 60-70!!!! Will it cool down in the next two weeks or am i going to have to run for the hills (mcleod ganj/shimla/dalhousie) as soon as we get there?

I was in Delhi in July when it was 40+ Degrees Celsius and still found it more than bearable, so I'm sure you'll be fine! Just drinks loads of water and it'll be OK!

i'm arriving 18th, perhaps i will have my sandals in my little bag on the ready, It's been trecking trainer weather for me in the UK lately. I'm heading to mcleod anyway. I've never been and it sounds amazing, along with Manali, Dharamsala. Have a great trip!!

From mid October the weather should gradually begin to cool expect around 23 -28C with the nights getting appreciably cooler as you get Into November.
All in all it's pretty much the best time to begin a trip to India!!

Im not a great lover of heat and I imagine dehli with the traffic pollution and the high density must get a bit over-powering!!!!
I think i iwll end up fleeing to the hills, not sure if we should go to shimla or dharamsala first..... probaly dharamsala via amristar.

Hey cheryl we are probaly bound to meet up north somewhere drop me a pm if you need any help when u arrive or want to meet.

Humidity will be low. The temp will be very nice. You are going to the tropics, remember?

Cool

Hi Lobo,

I've been in Delhi in the second half of October twice and is probably the best time in the year. Be sur you will enjoy the city and the weather.

Probably you will stay there during Diwali and you'll find a lively atmosphere in Chandni Chowk.

How Does it matter???
Can you cancel your flight if its too HOT? in Delhi if you are not staying there too long.

Take it in your stride and prepare for your next destinationation in India,

This is an Humble suggestion from Martin & Vinay In Mumbai

October is good weather usually. Nice clear days, not too hot and less mosquitos.

I dont see how any place on earth can be to hot . To say that you have to be from a HOT country. For me its like the hotter the better. If I can roam around naked during nighthours than its hot enough.

And your from a little tropicall paradice called London... Hmmm, that figures...

disagree Ikuru ... continuous 40+ weather makes life very difficult ... due to sleep deprivation in particular ... it has been shown time and again summer highs are linked to domestic violence, aggression, murder and suicide occurrence ... not to mention the numbers of old folk that expire ....

Ikuru you must be like a solar panel if you cant see how any place can be to hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with baldy when it gets really hot people get more tetchy and up shoot the violence and murder figures.

Heat can really ruin a holiday if you are not used to it, especially the mid day sun.
Why do u think the british used to run to the hills when they were in india when it got to hot!!!!!!!!! You cant sleep or think properly.

I will be running for the hills
