Custom made engines in delhi

Hi i'm in the process of rebuiling a bullet from scratch.
If anyone knows where can i get the engine changed to suit the modifications i intend to do on the bike.
Basically i'm looking for someone who can take a 500cc engine & modify it to 1000cc engine.

Thumbs down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rahul

Are you serious?! Doubling the capacity of an Enfield engine? It can't be done - the barrell could not be bored large enough to take a piston of that size. Even if possible, the bottom end would "shit itself" as we say in Oz. Not too mention the cooling problems.

At best you might get an oversize piston in - up to maybe 540cc - any good Enfield specialist will be able to advise.

I am not mad!!! !! as most of my pals think..
I actually saw this on a link in wihich a guy from the netherlands had done this..
& according to him its perfect.
he did have to turn the engine completely aroung though.
just imagine a Enfield with a 1000CC engine....
isnt it worth trying for.

My 2 paisa:
as mentioned by Baldy, you'll need to 'bore' and make use of large piston. When you bore the strength of the engine metal drops and can be dangerous(if it works), with this you'll need to design compatible rockers, shaft, oil pumps, heat management, gear ratios ( maybe gear box) and the head assembly. After all this it won't an Enfiled (again if it works???).
what can be done and has been done is taking it to 535cc. which is simple.
Another thing you can do is trying to increase the bhp while keeping the cc same.
This again has been done with good success. you need to choose between top speed and pick-up.
You may like to search around the web for Egli's work on Enfield engines. They did some research to increase the power.
All the best

try Coimbatore.. I hear that the geniuses who can do this kind of stuff work out there..

Personally, I think, your single cylinder, 1000cc, 4 stroke will vibrate itself apart..
