Jalandhar in Punjab is home to the industry. Most the bats used across the world are manufactured here.
It might help if you told us what town you was in. |

I am sure there are a few shops in Conaught Place. I remember there is one shop close to Pizza hut (inner circle). |

You can get bats all across delhi in any sports shop. I would have told you to go to sadar bazaar (the whole sale market) but i doubt you will be able to find your way in the maze there.. !!

Cricket Equipment
Depending on how much time you have.if u r willing to travel a bit.Meerut is the best place to get Cricket Equipment(approx 2 hours from delhi). There are many local factories there , which specialize n sell these to top cricketer in india n abroad...like SG ,SS, BDM...etc ..otherwise just bump into any sport shop like the one mentioned above...n u shld find them easily...to get them a bit cheaper in delhi u will have to travel to (old delhi) chandni chowk ,there r loads of shop running across the market just for sports equipment.( just dont forget to heckle a bit for good prices ) |

When you open the thread from the front page listing "Latest Forum Topics" there's no indication that it's in the Delhi Forum, and once someone clicks on the thread they don't necessarily look up to see the name of the forum where it was was posted. Also, people post questions in the "wrong" forum all the time. If the OP wanted info only on where to buy cricket equipment in Delhi, I think he should have made that clear in the question inself instead of assuming that readers would infer that from where the question was posted (which many people would probably not notice) and then making a snarky comment to someone who tried to be helpful.

look ABOVE the "Home User CP ...." Menu Banner it says (After you have opened the thread) :- India Travel Forum | IndiaMike.com > Destinations > Major Destinations > Delhi which is the forum name Last edited by SteamBuff : Apr 25th, 2007 at 01:57. Reason: Added a bit to clarify |

Cricket equipment
Hi
Our Club has been getting cricket equipment from Stanford- STANFORD CRICKET INDUSTRIES Address 4, VICTORIA PARK, SPORTS COLONY, MEERUT, UTTAR PRADESH- 250001 (further details available on the web)- About 6 or 7 players now have bats from them (English willow) at prices far better than those in the UK. This year we have also had embroidered shirts sent over. Its best to get a number of items ordered together to save money on freight costs. AntonyW |
