Closest station from airport, and relevant information (*urgent*)
Hi guys, I have booked tickets from Mumbai to delhi, which lands at around 6:05 am in the morning at the delhi domestic airport (Air India).
I am trying to find the earliest train to Ludhiana Jn. There is one "SWARNA SHTBDI" which leaves from New Delhi station at around 7:20. Is it possible to make it to this station in time for the train? Also, which is the closest station from the domestic airport and how long dfoes it take to get there from the airport? This will help me plan better. Thanks in advance. Hemanshu |

the time you come out of the airport it will be 6:30, then after buying a pre-paid coupon & getting in to cab will also take some time. It may be just a touch & go situation. Consider 1 hour long travel from the airport to New Delhi station where you will have to go. So I suggest you look for a later connection to Ludhiana.

Air India lands at the international airport and not the domestic airport unless you mean the Indian airlines flight from Mumbai which will land at the domestic airport. Though it will not make much of a difference in the distance to the train station, try to avoid delays by keeping all your bags with you on board the flight so you don't have to wait for the baggage to come around on the belts from the aircraft. Also try to get out as soon as possible so you are the first person out from the aircraft as well as the airport!!! Flights to Delhi in the winter season generally tend to get delayed due to bad weather and fog so if you can take a later train it will be preferable for you to keep a safe buffer inbetween the arrival and departure timings.

Fully agree with the above replies. It makes sense for you to opt for a later train.
You have the Paschim Express from New Delhi station at 10=00, reaching Ludhiana at 17=00.
