Buying a water filter/purifier in Delhi?

Hello nearly made it too India and have used more plastic bottles than my conscience can deal with and was wondering where in Delhi its possible to buy some kind of water filter/purifier if at all? and maybe some recommendations too?

I have a brief stop in Delhi before I head down to Kerala and would like to painlessly grab one before I head south...

Cheers

ahh....a portable water purifier presumably? Haven't seen one myself but that sort of thing can usually be purchased (?) in a tramping/ hiking store. I seem to remember there is a thread somewhere around here tramping stores you can go to here in Delhi?

Yeah, I would either buy a PUR or other brand backpacking filter before you come to India, or buy bottled water. The ones that work best in India are "reverse osmosis" (RO) systems and they are expensive and not portable at all.

you get these things which can be fastened on to taps and take stuff out of the water as it flows. alternatively you get these tablets which you can put into drinking water before drinking it. try medicine stores, or just ask around, you'll find a place.
