Budget Hotels In New Delhi
Hello Guys,
I'm searching for Budget Hotels - AC rooms w/attached bath for a 4-5 week stay in Delhi in April. My price range is Rs 500-Rs 1000($10-20) per night. Can you suggest any such price range hotels? I'm not interested in hotels in Paharganj. Thank you. Riya |

Coming with a 4 year old to paharganj might not be a very good idea...but it depends upon your budget and your preference...on second thoughts if you are used to the outback in Australia then it should be OK...you can also try Karol Bagh area

Budget hotels in delhi
Hi Everyone,
I am considering 2 budget hotels in Delhi - Hotel Madonna and Hotel Sunstar. Has anyone stayed in these hotels recently? We will be in delhi 2 nights. First night arriving late, Second day sightseeing and leaving the third day for Agra. However we are almost first timers (coming to India after 29 years) and also have two 8 year old kids with us. So we do want some comfort and willing to spend between 100-150 USD per night. Would appreciate some recommendations. Thank You. |

I stayed in Hotel Madonna 2 years back. At that time it had just been completed. You can read my review of it in the review section. Be a little wary of the other "positive" reviews - they were left by a series of people with no other posts...
Bottom line is that you can do much better. Madonna's only redeeming feature is its crazy (in the fun way) room design. Everything is built to a cheap standard however. Service is good. Food very bad (at least when I stayed). Check their web site (see review) and if you are in love with the style try it. Other wise keep looking. Here is the link to the review http://www.indiamike.com/reviews/sho...uct/579/cat/13

Which part of delhi do you want to stay??
That will be helpful to you, as delhi is huge and raods are congested. You might end up traveling a lot. |

I stayed at Bhagat Inn once. it is economical and neat.
I do not have any contact details now. You must google for it, or try to locate the contact details in the Delhi telephone directory. |

You could divide up Delhi into a few smaller "cities", and focus on one region at a time. It would be fun to look for and try different hotels too. So, start some place reasonable and keep moving, about once a week. |

Budget hotel
I found Likir House through LP Thorn Tree - I will be staying there in May because I like that South Delhi area - it is in Lajpat Nagar close to Haumayun's Tomb (well, by rickshaw anyway!) which i think one of the best sites to visit in Delhi. They charge 850 rupees for a single with air conditioning. Check it out by Google. I was looking for something cheap in Nizamuddin area but couldn't get an answer - all hotels suggested were more expensive.
