Budget hotels in Karol Bagh, New Delhi
For those of us who wish to avoid the slush and filth of seedy Paharganj, and wish to stay in the more sleek environs of Karol Bagh, here is a thread to highlight the options available.
To begin with there is Hotel Ananda: http://www.hotelanandadelhi.com/contact.html |

I think calling a room for Rs. 1990 as a room well designed for budget travelers is taking things too far.....

Agree with you Delhiwala. That is way out of my league too!!Can anyone recommend a clean quiet hotel with hot shower in Karol Bagh? Preferably no more than 800 rupees. I will need it in November for about three days. I checked through the hotel thread already, without much success.

Thanks Delhiwala. I just looked them up on the internet, but 16 guests posted bad ratings. Here's the link:
http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldet...ew-Delhi/17270 Also, the price for a room for two people is 2000.00 !! rupees for one night, including airport pick up. Did you stay there yourself, and if so, how was your experience? |

Oh Sorry to hear that ! Why don't you think of staying at Arakashan road. There you should get a clean room for Rs. 800/-

Thanks for that tip. I've not heard of Arakashan Road. Is that in Karol Bagh? Which hotel is good and cheap there? I would need to book from Australia, as I'll be arriving in the middle of the night.
I imagine that the Youth Hostel may not allow unmarried "Indian/white" couples... |

Hi friends
![]() Can anyone please recommend a quiet and clean hotel with hot shower in Karol Bagh for up to 1000rp - 2 persons. It would be good to have a metro station within walking distance too. I've never been to Karol Bagh, but it sounds much better than dodgy Paharganj. Another question, I'll be arriving November 6th from Australia and want to stay 4 nights, would it be necessary to book in advance? (Always risky without seeing the rooms first...) Or are there usually plenty of rooms available at that time of year? |

Anyone ? Please? Surely some of you have stayed in Karol Bagh and liked your hotel? I would be really very grateful for any help here. It's scary booking a room without seeing it first, just by looking at a website...
