Asian Guest House Delhi - Is it any good?

Hi,

I will probably be booking a room here for 3 nights, has anyone been there before, and have and comments on the place?

Hello Mark,
We stayed at the Asian Guset House our first 2 nights in Delhi and didn't find the place very appealing. It was rather noisy, bedding was ratty, bathroom was a bit sketchy and there was an opaque window that sort of kept the light out. We have been traveling in India now for 5 weeks and the Asian Gust House was one of our least favorite digs. Granted we now shoot for the mid range hotels. The great thing was they responded quickly to email and it was good to know we had a booked place to lay our heads in Delhi. When we return to Delhi in a few weeks we'll just go to the tourist mecca of Paharganj (sp??) and look for a room just a few blocks from the train station. Funny, I think I learned about the Asian Guest House from this site. Good luck.

Hi Mark,

stayed at the asian guest house in may 2006. The location is convinient. The room was double AC and we were charged Rs. 800/-

Have earlier stayed at Janpath Guest house, two buildings away.

between the two I would go back to janpath guest house although it was a tad bit expensive then Asain.

Janpath Guest house felt larger and better run. We paid Rs. 500 for a std double in March 2006.

You may be better off in paharganj or karol bagh
