Another Salwar Kameez question

I've done an extensive search on the subject here on IM, but didn't really find much as far as time frame.

I'm arriving in Delhi in the afternoon, and the next morning heading to Agra pretty early (0600).

Is it possible to get tailored Salwar Kameez during this time, or should I just head to FabIndia and get a premade set and wait until I'm in Mumbai (will be there for a few days). My only issue with the pre-made set is proper fitting (I'm 5'2" and around 140lbs..not skinny, but not large either...)

Also, I know many people mentioned most men wear western style clothing but is there comfortable clothing similar to salwar kameez for a male? I know my husband would like to wear something traditional as well.

Thanks in advance!

Head to Fabindia, would be my advice. Not enough time for stitching.

The closest Fabindia in Delhi will be near Vasant Kunj (the complex next to Apollo Clinic on Nelson Mandela Marg) about fifteen minutes drive from the airport.

You will get churidar kurta pyjamas for men too, which is traditional in quite a few parts of North India.

And, yes, they should (or somebody closeby will) make minor alterations to length etc quite easily. IIRC, they did so for somebody I know.

I think FabIndia is a better option seeing your time frame. FabIndia has many types of sets in many sizes. It also has mix-and-match sets where you choose the bottom and top separately which helps sometimes in the size options. You shouldn't have any trouble finding sets for yourself.

Men have similar long Kurts and Churidars which are very comfortable.

I figured as much, thanks. I'll head over to the Mumbai section to browse the posts on shops there.
