another hotel question..

Hi all

Had a search couldnt find the answer to my question. My flight gets in to IGI at 22:50 I would like a hotel that I can get in to at that time?
Also that will do an airport pickup, nothing to fancy?

Last thing Will be looking for some tarpaulin any one know where I would be able to get some in Delhi?

Have a look in the Hotel section; there are reviews of all levels of hotels in Delhi.

Tarpaulin? Not when you arrive in the middle of the night, I hope! Probably can get it in the bazaar of Old Delhi; maybe someone else can give you details of this. Be sure to bring a sample of what you want.

Two that spring to mind are:
  1. To sleep under
  2. To dispose of a body
Presumably with the sort of bagage checks they have nowadays, it's more likely to be 1.

Then again, asking "Why" does not always help, I never did hear a good answer to the question "Why would someone hitch hike around Ireland with a refridgerator?"

Bodies were the first thing that crossed my mind, and I wondered if by recommending a place to buy one, wwusa might be an accessory to murder!

I wait with baited breath for the next question ("I will need a length of strong twine and a shovel....")

What is Hindi for "It has to be six feet deep" anyway?

In an admittedly rather halfhearted attempt to drag this back ontopic, diadem if you're a budget traveller, you may find a hotel car to be more expensive. You'll find no problems booking your own, for whatever time you arrive.

Take a look at the sticky on this Delhi board, entitled "Radio Cabs / Dial-a-Cab/Quick Cabs in Delhi" for some suggestions information.

Other hotels which arrange taxi pickups ,and are survivable, in Paharganj...
http://hotelnamaskar.com/
http://www.hotelrakinternational.com/

If you don't find your taxi waiting for you then the pre-paid taxi booth is directly outside the main exit-although arranging a hotel in advance isn't a bad idea.
Remember to change money in the terminal building- there are 3 or 4 desks in the baggage reclaim -Thomas Cook and State Bank of India.
