An evening of music & food in Delhi

On thursdays head to the area near the Dargah in Nizamuddin. You will get to hear great Quawali & Sufi music. After that head to Mehboob hotel for mouth watering Biriyanis or to Garib Nawaj for excellent Mutton Korma. A plate of each costs around Rs40/-

Go to the place between the police station & the Dargah. Infact I am planing to go there one of these days & I will give you a buzz so that if you want you can accompany me. But dont expect great atmosphere, it is the food that is the attraction.

Thanks for the tip .....

I've been meaning to do that ever since I saw the Dalrymple TV Documentary "City of Djinns", He goes there and the atmosphere,
energy, and music appeared electrifying. He didn't mention anything
about the food though . The Cat's out of the bag now and I'll be sure to bring my biriyani bib!!!!!!

PeakXV,
If you like such places visit Jama Masjid area in the evenings to watch the wonderful street scene & eat at Karim's hotel, volumes have been posted about this eatery.
